Natural Science Center
Today we used the 4 tickets that Katherine won at a Grasshopper Game and went to the Natural Science Center. The kids loved seeing the animals and the 3D show at the omnisphere. Nathan and I enjoyed all the whole day. Who knew Katherine would enjoy petting a snake or that Ethan would try to hop like the wallaby.

Ethan's Baseball Career

Ethan just finished his 3rd baseball season. He started in the spring of 2008, on the Colfax Yankees. He was only interested in baseball because of the wii. He was coached by Coach Paul his first season. Next, in Spring of 2009, Ethan played for the Colfax Cardinals. Since SAI sponsored it, they became known as the SAI Cardinals coached by Tracy Hampton. He improved a lot and became obsessed with the game. He made a lot of great friends during that season. When Ethan informed me that he wanted to play fall ball not football like his friends we need to find a league for him. Ethan played for the Kernersville Little League Machine Pitch Division
(6-8yr olds) . He was not the youngest, but he was the smallest. He worked hard and learned about of the fundamentals with Coach Sterling. He gained a lot of skills and friends as being a part of the Maroon Warriors. Baseball may be ending for now, but in Ethan's eyes this is only the beginning.

GAC Picnic
Last Sunday, we froze but had fun at Katherine's GAC picnic. Katherine enjoyed hanging out with Jailen and Ashlee. Ethan enjoyed playing with Elle and Nick. Ethan and Nick came in second in the egg toss.

Happy Birthday Katherine!!!

Today my oldest child, my only daughter turns 10. I can't believe 10 years have gone by. We spent the entire weekend busy and celebrating. On Friday, she took cupcakes to school to celebrate. Friday night she took cupcakes to one of her cheer leading teams after practice.

On Saturday, we went to just outside of Charlotte in South Carolina to Katherine's first cheerleading competition. Katherine did a great job on both of her teams. After the competition Katherine had a few friends come to a hotel in Charlotte and help her celebrate her birthday. Of course Katherine wanted to invite everyone and had a very hard time choosing only a few. They enjoyed staying in a suite on the top floor. This was also the first year Katherine has gone swimming on her birthday. They swam both last night and today.

Today she enjoyed cupcakes with our neighbors. Tonight she invited one of her very good friends over for dinner. Of course there was more cake. All in all, it was a great weekend, but I am very tired!

Pictures to follow soon!
