Katherine, the Coach

Katherine helps 2 moms coach the Colfax
Kindergarten cheer squad. She loves " her girls".
She helps them with cheers and halftime routine.
Today was picture day and she was very excited that they asked to be in the picture. This means that she will be in the yearbook.
This is the same squad she started her cheerleading career on 6 years ago.

Christmas Day....

Christmas Eve...

On December 23rd, we went to Spartanburg for a quick trip to see Nathan's family. We enjoyed staying at Nana's house. We had a wonderful lunch on December 24th, then we went back to Nana's house for dessert and to open presents. Jon and Kim and Sami made the trip to Spartanburg from Raleigh and we enjoyed spending time with them. Madison also enjoyed the spending time with his cousins. Unfortunately, Emma Kate was sick and Lydia and Emma missed out on lunch. They were able to join us to open presents. Ethan and Katherine loves all of their gifts. We would the time with family and the two wonderful pictures Nana drew of the kids. We made it back to Greensboro just in time to get the kids in bed before Santa arrived.

Ethan lost his 1st tooth!!!!

After a couple of weeks of wiggly his first tooth it finally came out. He has a new one already growing in behind the one one. He was not too motivated to pull out first tooth. He wasn't even motivated to wiggle it until he heard that Eve, his good friend that is only 3 days older than him, lost her first tooth over the weekend. After a lot of advice from mom, dad and of course his big sister he finally pulled it out. Now he is awaiting his first visit from the tooth fairy.

More snow
pictures....

The First Snow in North Carolina This Year!

On Friday it started snowing at 12:00, and schools were dismissed 3 hours early. The flakes grew larger and larger as the day progressed.
Within an hour the snow was starting to stick. After 24 hours of snow/freezing rain the system moved to the north. We ended up with between 5-6 inches of snow. Katherine and Ethan enjoyed sledding, and drinking hot chocolate. Stella, Cassidy, Alex and Mia all enjoyed sledding with my kids. Ethan helped Mia and Alex build a snowman. Ethan helped Alex learn how to make snowballs and have his first snowball fight. I loved seeing the winter wonderland, but I am ready for the roads to be clear. It would be nice if some of the snow stuck around until Christmas, just not on the roads.

Thanksgiving Pictures... a little late!

For Thanksgiving we went to Spartanburg and had dinner with Nathan's mom and family. The kids enjoyed playing with their cousins. I enjoyed spending time with my two wonderful sister-in-laws and my mother-in law. I can't wait to see them again at Christmas. Here are a few pictures from Thanksgiving.
